The branding process behind the Hit Subscribe podcast started out a bit tricky since a name for the podcast had not been chosen yet. To get a feel of where we were going to go with it, I had all the stakeholders do some branding exercises.
I gathered the results of the exercises and formed themes based on those results. I then presented those themes to the stakeholders and shared my research of other podcasts in our space, along with other podcasts that do well. Once all in agreement on the direction of voice, tone, and goals, I began brainstorming styles.
At this point, there still wasn’t a name, so a logo was out of the question, but overall styling was the focus. Brainstorming and iterations of styles with fellow designers lead to the where the branding is today.
We used a service to push out the podcast to multiple platforms, so while you can see all the episodes on our site, the goal is to have people follow on their platform of choice.
